Information Entered Directly
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered into search forms are sent to the third-party provider that operates the results tool; this reference does not keep a copy of the query. A message sent to us contains only the details included by the sender and is used to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate for security, site maintenance, and general page-use patterns. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools where they are enabled.
How Limited Data Is Used
Technical information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic counts, and page improvements. Delano Residents Directory does not sell a visitor list or create an individual reader profile from these limited records.
External Portals and Services
Pages link to Kern County and California records portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. Each outside provider sets its own privacy terms and controls what happens after a reader leaves this reference. Sponsored results are supplied by a third party.
Possible Recipients
Hosting and technical service providers may process ordinary server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure is otherwise limited to a valid legal process or another requirement recognized by law.
Security and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for the purposes described above and for as long as those purposes require. Because readers do not create accounts here, this reference does not hold a reader password or user profile.
Readers Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if a minor may have submitted information, and we will review and delete it when appropriate.
California Privacy Choices
California’s Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, provide qualifying rights to know, delete, correct, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and opt out of sale or sharing. The Attorney General’s CCPA guidance explains those rights. The DELETE Act, Civil Code section 1798.99.80 and following, created the state data-broker deletion route, and the research notes that DROP became available for consumer registration in 2026.
Because this reference stores very little, a request normally concerns the contact mailbox or available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by California, Kern County, or the City of Delano remain under the control of their custodians. Requests to remove or correct those records must go to the office that holds them, not to this reference.
Policy Changes
A revised policy takes effect when it is posted here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the new terms.
